Donation of teaching and learning materials to Bakpa Women’s Training Centre, Volta Region

In December 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 scare, Charlotte’s Memorial Foundation visited the New Bakpa Vocational Training School, now Women’s Training Centre. The foundation donated various items, including Dignity Packs (sanitary pads, underwear, deodorants and face towels) to about 100 learners. The foundation also donated nosemasks, hand sanitizers, clothing, shoes, pieces of cloth for training lessons, food items and water. The trainees of the vocational school were rescued from fishing communities along the Volta Lake, where they were forced to work for the fisherfolk for free. In their response, the girls and young women expressed their gratitude to CMF for the kind gesture despite the COVID-19 period, which claimed many lives.
